Teen arrested for attempted murder in Dawes Road shooting
A teenager has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in the east end.
The charge stems from a shooting on Sunday afternoon at 500 Dawes Rd., near St. Clair Ave. E and Victoria Park Ave. It is alleged the 16-year-old discharged a firearm, striking the victim.
Dwayne Vernal, 20, is currently wanted in relation to the same incident. He is charged with possession of an unauthorized firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, aggravated assault, and attempted murder.
