Nicolas Cage: I am not a vampire

Nicolas Cage thinks he's pretty quick.
The 48-year-old "Ghost Rider" star laughed off rumours that he is a vampire from the Civil War on "The Late Show With David Letterman" Thursday night, claiming a man who looks like him in an 1860s-era photo is a "slowed-down version" of the actor.
"Let me say that there is a resemblance," Cage told the host, "But -- how can I be polite about this? -- it's a somewhat slowed-down version of me."
The sepia-toned photo, which was being sold in September on eBay under the title "Nicolas Cage is a Vampire," shows a man with similar facial features to Cage in a large bow tie and suit, with the same heavy brow and head of hair.
"Personally, I believe it's him and that he is some sort of walking undead/vampire, et cetera, who quickens/reinvents himself once every 75 years or so. 150 years from now, he might be a politician, the leader of a cult, or a talk show host," the seller from Seattle claimed.
Cage has played a sorcerer, an angel, and a ghost, but never a vampire. The actor made his knowledge of vampires known by reminding Letterman that the creatures cannot be photographed.
"Look, I don't drink blood and last time I looked in the mirror I had a reflection," he added. "So, I'm not going with this vampire theory."
