Anchor's husband found dead west of Ottawa
The husband of CTV News anchor Carol Anne Meehan was found dead near Killaloe, Ont., about 200 kilometres west of Ottawa, on Monday afternoon.
Greg Etue, an Ottawa pharmacist, had last been seen on Jan. 16, driving a van.
Ontario Provincial Police said they found Etue inside that same van on High Crest Lane in Brudenell, Ont., at about 12:30 p.m. on Monday. OPP said foul play is not suspected.
A post-mortem had not yet been scheduled as of Monday afternoon.
In a statement on its website, CTV Ottawa said its thoughts and prayers "are with Carol Anne and her family, and we want to thank the many members of the public for their messages of support."
Etue, 56, had Multiple Sclerosis and had fought cancer for the past two years.
