The Toronto Symphony Orchestra welcomes back one of the world's most celebrated living musicians, cellist Yo-Yo Ma. In a concert conducted by Peter Oundjian (pictured), Ma joins the TSO to perform Dmitri Yanov-Yanovsky's Night Music: Voice in the Leaves for Cello and Orchestra, Sergei Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances and Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto.
An American of Chinese descent, Yo-Yo Ma is a former child prodigy whose career has lasted nearly half a century. He has won multiple Grammy Awards and appeared on several movie scores, including Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Seven Years in Tibet and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.
