One of the most successful stage musicals of all time is making a limited return engagement in Toronto, at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Mirvish’s exciting 2013/2014 lineup. The Lion King – adapted from the classic Disney animated film, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year – is back for the whole family to enjoy.
Directed by Julie Taymor, The Lion King is about a young African lion prince, Simba, seeking revenge against his uncle, who murdered his father, Mufasa. The songs by Elton John and Tim Rice include the Oscar-winning “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”, as well as “Circle of Life”.
