More Information:
The Shakespeare For Kids Library Program is a free readers’ theatre program for children ages 7-12. It’s led by professional actors and educators and is supported by TD Bank. In the Shakespeare For Kids Library Program kids explore plays like Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Tempest, Comedy Of Errors, and Henry the IV. Participants read aloud, play drama games, learn how to insult each other in Elizabethan English, get a head start on high school, and make friends.
The Library Program operates for 6 Saturdays, at 10 Toronto Public Library branches in the fall, 10 in the winter, and 10 in the spring. The first Shakespeare For Kids Library Program session of the year starts November 2nd, 2013. The fall, winter, and spring sessions are available in the morning from 10 am to 12 pm and in the afternoon from 2 pm to 4pm.
