Brain Paintings, a series of recent works by Sarah Teitel depicting the brain by borrowing images from MRI scans.
“I am interested in symmetry, alignment and misalignment, organic shape and repetition. I incorporate historic, geometric and architectural elements to create a context that strikes the viewer as vaguely familiar I am interested in exploring how colour and backdrop influence the viewer’s perception of the perceptive organ.”
