The Harbourfront Centre spends ten days emphasizing artistic contributions of Aboriginal peoples from around the world. A multi-disciplinary festival, organized in cooperation with Woodland Cultural Centre, Planet IndigenUS deals with themes of identity, rights and continuity.
The arts festival showcases interactive works, indigenous foods, film, literary projects, workshops, creative collaborations and more over two weekends (Friday to Sunday).
Highlights of the event include Celebrating The Crossroads – Opening Night Spectacle, a co-headlining performance by Digging Roots and Kinnie Starr, storyteller Joe Harawira, the North American premiere of Susuriwka - Willow Bridge with Kaha:wi Dance Theatre and the Yokohama Noh Theatre, and more.
