The Mabuhay Philippines Festival is a unique event in the Filipino-Canadian community. It invites and involves various Filipino-Canadian associations and groups that represent different regions, educational institutions and cultural aspects of the Philippines. It provides a platform for Filipinos to showcase their individual and collective talents in order to inform and raise awareness of the culture in the mainstream society. It is a forum with which all aspects of Philippine heritage are explored and all artistic mediums are featured. It also acts as a stage for Philippine owned businesses to increase awareness of their marketability.
The festival, being an annual event, has become the highlight of the community’s social calendar.
