Inaugurated in 1980, the International Festival of Authors (IFOA) includes readings, interviews, lectures, roundtable discussions, book signings and a festival bookstore. This October marks the 31st year of this festival. The IFOA also includes the Scotiabank Giller Prize, Governor General’s Literary Awards, and Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize finalists.
The line-up so far includes 70 authors whose styles range from fiction to children's books, biographies to graphic novels and more. This year’s event will focus on science and speculative fiction.
Confirmed authors include Alice Munro, Jo Nesbø, Jian Ghomeshi, and more authors to be announced.
