More Information:
Looking for organizations to volunteer with? Passionate about a cause and you're looking for support from a local youth group or charity? Trying to find inspiration? Join us as we celebrate the power of young people and volunteerism at igniteFAIR (www.ignitefair.weebly.com) on October 25 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, presented by OTT Financial and hosted in partnership with the Town of Richmond Hill and DECA Ontario. This event is free to attend and open to the public. You can enter and leave the event throughout the day. Be one of the first 400 people to tell us you're coming by getting a ticket at bit.ly/ignitefairtickets before September 30, and receive a free igniteFAIR tote bag!
igniteFAIR began in 2014 as a way to help students gather information about the hundreds of non-profit, youth-run, and volunteer organizations from across Canada that provide opportunities for anyone to get involved. Similar to how the Ontario Universities Fair works, igniteFAIR will give you an opportunity to speak with representatives from different non profit organizations and community groups based in the Greater Toronto Area about programs, campaigns and anything else that may help you make a decision about which organization(s) you would like to get involved with, as well as find inspiration and start feeling empowered to take action. igniteFAIR is also an event where people will be motivated by amazing speakers and performers during our opening ceremony, all passionate about taking action and igniting change within the local and international community.
Each organization will have their own booth, staffed with representatives who can answer your questions and provide additional materials on how you can volunteer. It is our hope that we are able to ignite the passion in people to get involved and create change in their communities.
