The TMC presents a free community concert featuring the 150-voice Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, the chamber-sized Elora Festival Singers and up-and-coming conductors. This free concert concludes the TMC’s 2012 Choral Conductors’ Symposium led by Noel Edison.
It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a wide range of music from the choral repertoire performed by two of Canada’s renowned choral groups, and to see choral conductors of the future. The Choirs will perform choral masterpieces ranging from Byrd’s Haec Dies, through excerpts from Verdi’s Requiem and Handel’s Israel in Egypt, to contemporary works by Paul Halley and Eric Whitacre.
