More Information:
Costs: Adult: $45 With roots as far back as the mid 13th century, the term "Tuna" has become part of everyday language among university students in the nations of Portugal, Spain, and various others in South America. A Tuna is a choir which incorporates mostly stringed instruments while playing traditional folk songs based on the cultural roots of its members. Luso-Can Tuna was founded on March 14, 1998 and remains to this day the only North American Tuna rooted in Portuguese culture. The group's members take pride in promoting interest among Portuguese-Canadian youth for their cultural roots, and also serving and representing the GTA's Portuguese community, although some of our members are not Portuguese.
