The TD Festival of South Asia creates a window into the East to celebrate and experience the culture and cuisine of South Asia. From Bhangra to Basmati to Bollywood music, this event has all the ingredients to make festival visitors feel like they've traveled the world. The TD Festival of South Asia It takes place from 23rd - 24th August, 2014 in Gerrard India Bazaar from 12:00-11:00 p.m. The entertainment line-up promises to be a showstopper.
On 6th July, the TD Festival of South Asia is presenting its third annual South Asia’s Got Talent show for Toronto based youth. This show is based on a popular reality show Britain's Got Talent. It will aim to showcase the best Toronto youth have to offer in dance, singing, drama, magic and much, much more.
The main stage will feature dancing, talent shows, and authentic South Asian cultural programs reflecting Indian, Afghani, Pakistani, Bengali and Sri Lankan cultures. Off-stage, visitors will be enticed by the wonderful foods offered by more than 20 different restaurants and priced from one to six dollars.
