Huron County’s rich and unique military history, as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, includes four training bases within its borders – Goderich, Port Albert, Clinton and Centralia. The base at Goderich was for elementary air training, while the one at Centralia was advanced. The base at Port Albert was for navigation and Clinton’s was for radar.
