Doors Open Hamilton seeks to celebrate, educate and inform visitors of the importance of the architectural, cultural and historical sites in Hamilton by allowing free access to properties that are either not usually open to the public, or would normally charge an entrance fee.
Since its beginning in Hamilton in 2003, Doors Open Hamilton has registered over 150,000 site visits to over 90 Hamilton landmark buildings and sites – all for free. As in years past, all sorts of sites related to history, architecture, nature and culture are participating in 2012.
