CONTACT Photography Festival explores personal and social consequences of the medium of photography. Last year, over 500 local, national and international artists are participated in the event at more than 200 venues across the city. Public installations will also be across the city, including TTC subway platforms and billboards throughout downtown.
This year's theme is Public, with exhibitions exploring political issues and how the camera is used to capture unguarded moments, expose false personas or reveal suspect activities.
Note: the Contact Festival launch is April 27. Exhibits open May 1.
