Many Christmas traditions as we know them had their origins in the 19th century, so it’s only fitting to celebrate the holidays at Black Creek Pioneer Village. Bring the whole family and expect old-fashioned fun for all ages, including meals and treats, kids’ entertainment, wagon tours… maybe a visit from St. Nick?
Founded in 1960, Black Creek Pioneer Village is a historic site that recreates rural Ontario life as it was in the 1800s. It contains more than forty genuine nineteenth-century buildings, including a mill, a church, a hotel, a school and shops, while costumed guides put on reenactments and activities.
