Canada's Top Ten Film Festival celebrates and promotes contemporary Canadian cinema and is intended to raise public awareness of Canadian achievements in film.

Canada’s Top Ten Film Festival showcases the best Canadian films released in 2014 as selected by Canadian filmmakers and industry professionals.
This year’s feature films are The F Word starring Daniel Radcliffe, animated feature Asphalt Watches, Quebecois film Gabrielle, documentary When Jews Were Funny, Xavier Dolan’s Tom at the Farm, coming of age dramedy Sarah Prefers to Run, environmental documentary Watermark, Aboriginal thriller Rhymes for Young Ghouls, French filmVic et Flo ont vu un ours and Enemy, the latest collaboration between Denis Villeneuve and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Canada's Top Ten Film Festival was established in 2001 by TIFF to honour excellence in short- and feature-length contemporary Canadian cinema, reinforcing TIFF's commitment to Canadian filmmakers. In order to be eligible for Canada's Top Ten Film Festival, the film must be directed by a Canadian citizen or resident and have been released commercially or played a major film festival in Canada. The feature- and short-film selections are each chosen by a panel of filmmakers and industry professionals from across Canada.

In the past 13 years, Canada's Top Ten Film Festival has become a highly anticipated initiative, bringing Canada's most acclaimed filmmakers and eager audiences together for an exciting cinematic experience. The creativity, diversity and innovation of these films and filmmakers keep audiences coming back for more. Last year's Canada's Top Ten Film Festival feature selection included Sarah Polley's Stories We Tell, Kim Nguyen's Academy Award–nominated Rebelle and Xavier Dolan's Laurence Anyways, which won the City of Toronto and Canada Goose Award for Best Canadian Feature Film at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. The Top Ten shorts included Phillip Barker's Malody, Mike Clattenburg's Crackin' Down Hard and Deco Dawson's Keep a Modest Head, which was named Best Canadian Short Film at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.

The selected films for 2013 will be publicly announced on December 3, 2013.

Canada's Top Ten Film Festival runs from January 3–12, 2014, and will include screenings at TIFF Bell Lightbox of each selected film, an In Conversation With... session, and related industry programming. Select films will tour major cities across the country, including Vancouver’s Pacific Cinematheque, Edmonton’s Metro Cinema and Montreal’s PHI Centre.
