The 27th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is back, celebrating the Irish spirit. Beginning near the old U of T Varsity Stadium (Bloor and St. George) and ending at Nathan Phillips Square, the walk pays tribute to the patron saint of Ireland with marching bands and colourful floats. This year’s Grand Marshal is Katie Taylor, a world-champion boxer and Olympic gold medalist who carried the Irish flag at the 2012 London games. The Grand Marshal Ball in honour of Ms. Taylor is held on March 14 at the Hilton Toronto with dinner and a show by Hugo Straney.
